Developmental Assessments in Balamban, Cebu

Our founder/president went to the Municipality of Balamban to talk about the importance of early intervention and screening.   Over fifty teachers and  healthcare workers have learned about the importance of early screening and detection.  She also performed assessments and created home programs. Thank you, Balamban. It was a lot of fun. 

Developmental Assessment in Goyong, Borbon, Cebu

Our co-founder visited our kids and performed occupational therapy assessments and therapeutic interventions for the children.  She also talked to families and taught them some home exercise programs and activities to do at home. 

Liddle Kids Outreach - January 2016

We partnered with the Liddle Kidz Foundation and visited Borbon,  Balamban Barili, and Cebu City to perform pediatric massage techniques and teach families on how to perform these techniques to parents.    This 4-day was made possible by  over 50 local and foreign volunteers, as well as our partners in the community, like RAFI and SOS Village. 

USC OT Graduate students visit our kids - March 2016

We made adaptive seating equipment using card board.  Adaptive Design, a non-profit organization in NY had instructed our founder/president on how to build these chairs.  With occupational therapy students from University of Southern California, we built over 20 chairs for our kids in Borbon, Cebu.

Vision Screening Training - June 2018

Volunteers from Cebu Doctors University School of Optometry visited teachers in Zapatera and Borbon, Cebu to train them how to perform vision screening to prepare for our vision outreach on August, 2018. 

Vision Outreach - August 8 and 9, 2018
Borbon, Cebu

In collaboration with the See The Lord Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Northern California,  SHS Batch '93  Alumni Association, we had gathered up to 200 children and some caregivers and provided them with their eye exams.    Approximately 1,200 children were prescreened and those who needed further examination were invited to join us for this event.    With the gift of improved vision, these children will be able to read, learn, and explore their environment.  

Vision Outreach - August 10, 2018
Borbon, Cebu

On August 10, 2018,  we made our way to Zapatera Elementary School in Cebu City where our  volunteers optometrists from See the Lord Foundation, Dr. Puja Goal and Dr. Andre Magbanua as well our students and faculty from Cebu Doctors University  were able to perform eye exams for over 100 children.
